From the article: How to Deal with Friends and Family During Weight Loss
We assume our loved ones will support us in our weight-loss efforts, but sometimes, those closest to us -- who we need help from -- may undermine our success. This means our friends and family can actually be a hindrance to weight loss. Sabotage seems even more prevalent during the holidays. Food pushers in particular are a difficult part of the holiday season -- it's just so hard to say no to them! How do you deal with weight-loss sabotage?
I bring my own food.
- No one is serving what I eat, which also happens to be the food I LOVE. I refuse to eat or even like any food that doesn't sincerely love and nourish my healthy body. Why is everyone supportive of women getting out of abusive relationships with food but want to sabotage women getting out of abusive relationships with food? I don't understand em. It FEELS absolutely unloving and selfish of them. Maybe I'm missing something.
