If you think of a "diet pill" as being something that will actually help you eat less, consider this: Alli does not affect your appetite in any way.

Alli works in the digestive system; it does not have any direct effect on your nervous system or heart. Alli is not an amphetamine.

While appetite-suppressants often cause sleeplessness or "the jitters", Alli has not shown to have any of those types of side effects.

Alli does, however, pose the risk of its own unique side effects if you do not follow the correct diet in conjunction with taking it.

Before taking Alli, make sure to consider the potential side effects and plan your meals accordingly.
