Pro's
- This diet encourages the consumption of lots of healthful foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
- No entire food groups must be avoided. (Just junk foods, sweets and desserts.)
- There is not much independent medical research that backs up the explanations behind this plan.
- Exercise is not encouraged. Any good diet plan should suggest at least some physical activity, if not during the plan, at least as a maintenance tool.
- Although not excluded, dairy is not a significant part of the plan, so you may need to consider a calcium supplement or calcium chew, like Viactiv.
