Day One
On the Menu:
- NutriCoconut Os Cereal
- Chicken Cacciatorre
- Chicken Breast
- Lemon Dessert Bar
Breakfast:
I was quite pleased with the cereal this morning. I am a huge coconut fan and there was just enough coconut flavor to make this cereal a special treat.
It didnt go down as well with the low-fat milk as Id hoped, but thats only because Ive allowed myself to switch back to whole milk over the last year or so. My plan is to stick with reduced-fat a while and then go all the way to fat-free.
Lunch:
This meal was in a little microwavable pot that I was able to just throw in my backpack and take to school with me. I ordered a salad to go along with it and heated it up in the commons microwave.
I love pasta and I was pleasantly surprised at how not diet it tasted. A lot of diet meals have that somethings missing taste, but this truly wasnt lacking a thing.
Dinner:
I was so surprised at how moist this chicken breast was. The roll provided, however, left something to be desired. It wasnt very tasty and the texture was a bit odd. I think Ill buy my own whole grain rolls for future use.
Im still a little hungry as Ive definitely eaten less food than usual today. Itll just take a little getting used to, Im sure.
Dessert:
Yuck! Oh, dear. The lemon dessert bar left me reeling. Now I know what lemon furniture polish would taste like if sprayed directly onto my tongue! Yuck!
Summing it Up
Overall, so far so good. Except for the lemon dessert bar (the horror!), I was pleased with my food. I am still quite a bit hungry, but I know that in time I will adjust to my reduced food intake.
Keeping myself from a midnight munchie attack will be the hard part. Ill report tomorrow on how it goes!
