"Click This!": Foot-Friendly Flats
I don't talk "fashion" a lot, mainly because I'm just a jeans and tee shirt kinda gal.
But lately, I've noticed lots of cute ballet flats on the feet of my more fashion-forward friends, especially with jeans. I was just about to lace up my sneakers the other day when I thought, "You know, you could stand to dress yourself up a little once in a while."
So I put on my most girly-girl top. And it looked pretty nice if I do say so myself... just not so much with my industrial size, gel-heeled running sneakers. What's a girl to do?
Mental rewind 10 years -- I picture myself crying as I slipped off dress shoes for what I swore the last time. Yes. Crying. The pain. The pain! Don't even get me started on the one time I wore heels!
Only later did I find out that your shoe size changes when your weight fluctuates and I was wearing shoes a half-size -- and even a full-size! -- too small.
But despite finding out my true size I wasn't able to find a pair of flats that didn't flashback to those long ago pointy-toed flats disasters.
And then, these shoes came along. So, so comfy! And, they have shock absorbers which make my days trekking across campus or my favorite flea market so much easier. Thanks for the tip, Meieli!
