Get Smart About Restaurants and Portion Sizes

A recent study showed restaurant meals contain at least 60% more calories than dishes prepared by the home cook. Portion control is a likely culprit.

In a survey of 300 chefs, many owned up to serving 12-oz. or larger steaks (one standard serving is 3-oz.) and up to 2 cups of pasta (half cup is standard).
