It is not uncommon to experience constipation on The South Beach Diet. Abdominal gas and bloating can be an issue as well. If you've followed the diet, how did you cope with any gastrointestinal problems that you experienced? Share your advice.

Water

How much water are you drinking. Bloating and gas can also be a sign that you are not drinking enough water for the amount of fiber that you are taking in. Make sure you are drinking a minimum of 8 glasses a day like the book says. I had the same issue and water corrected the problem within one days time.
