Have you tried Weight Watchers? What did you think of it? Did you find the plan was flexible in a good way or did you need more structure to stick to it? What was the toughest part of the plan? The easiest? I want to hear your comments and opinions on Weight Watchers.

Love It

If it wasn't for Weight Watches I wouldn't have lost 90 lbs. I still follow it daily even though I am at my goal weight. I can eat what I want as along as it is within my points. I eat a lot more healthier foods. Eating vegetables hasbecome a way of life for me. I still eat my snacks and I don't feel deprived. If I stray for a day or two I go right back on my diet and the weight comes off. I love being a size 8. I can wear nice clothes and I'm not embarrassed wearing shorts in public anymore. I exercise daily and feel good about how I look. It saved me. There really was a skinny person inside my overweight body wanting to come out.

WW - Pros Cons

Joined years ago and had great success, twice. Able to maintain for several years because it allows all food in moderation. However, my lifestyle changed & I regained the weight so went back. This last time I did not lose much weight and found that the points system is a pain to look everything up and harder to track. The older system of tracking by food types was easier for me and combo foods weren't so tricky to count. I am now in my mid 50's and for me, the South Beach diet worked better. I lost 28 lbs quickly & have taken a break from it with my doctor's agreement. Am going back on it and will continue to alternate as needed until I loose all the excess weight.

Sandy

I enjoy the meetings and talking with people on the same road as I am. I have lost a good amount of weight. I am getting close to goal. Nights are my hardest.

What do I think of Weight Watchers?

This is the first diet I don't feel so deprived on. If I really crave something have it, count it and get on with it!!!! Joined Sept 16th-down 18 lbs.

Do it!

Just like anything else if you work the plan it works!! It is a lifestyle change that is always a struggle but it's healthy, you can eat anything (in moderation) and it's motivational. I have lost - when I do the plan - and gained when I choose to eat what I want, drink what I want, avoid exercizing and basically let life get in the way. I recommend attending the meetings - I have to be accountable and learn so much! Good Luck1

My weight watchers experience

I have been a ww member on more than one occation, and I did lose wt, and I did gain in back. More than once. Like any diet ya gotta follow it and after you lose the wt. its a whole other battle. I think it is a very good diet, but the problem is that it is a diet and most people have a tough time making forever life changes like that. I need to think of my health, no more big yoyo dieting, and no more spending a wad of cash on something I know how to do if I would just do it.

Worked for me

I joined weight watchers twice. The first time was before I got married. I managed to lose about 25 lbs. Once I got married and had my baby I re-joined and from there lost an additional 37 pounds. I no longer attend meetings but still follow the plan religiously. I have maintained the same weight now for about 5 years. I believe in this system because it strives to make you choose healthy low point foods, no pills, gimmicks or fast fixes. I walk about 3 times a week for about 45 minutes and truly believe eating right and exercise are the key.
