I did not lose the eight to 13 pounds in the first two weeks of the South Beach Diet, but anything is better than gaining weight. I lost seven pounds in almost four weeks. I am now starting phase 2, since I heard that phase 2 can jump start your weight loss if you are on a plateau.
This time around I will not give up on losing weight. Four years ago I lost 30 pounds in three months on the South Beach Diet. I was so happy that the weight came off so quickly. Soon after the 30-pound weight loss, the weight loss came to a halt. That's the time I got off the program. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to lose weight now. I believe in the South Beach diet, because I have no more cravings for sweets and I get full right away now.
I would and have recommended this diet to relatives and friends.
