Definition: Fiber is a substance found in plant food (fruits and vegetables) and whole grains which increases sense of satiety (fullness) and aids in the digestive process. You can improve your digestion, overall health and prevent overeating by consuming sufficient fiber.
Also Known As: bulk, roughage
Examples: Consuming certain breakfast cereals, fruit with skin, and whole-grain breads are all good ways to eat more fiber.
