Recognize How Putting Off is Paying Off
If you're anything like me, you'd rather procrastinate about 10 things than do one thing on time. This applies to weight loss efforts, too ... how many times have I said "I'll start my diet next Monday."? I've lost count. But I've recently learned a few ways to fight my instinct to delay instead of doing.

The first step is the hardest ... Admit why you're doing it. Deep down, there's often an underlying cause of procrastination: Keeping things status quo is working for you in some way. If you stop putting off doing what you need to do to change your weight (or your job, your relationship, etc.), then that dreaded big change will finally come. Are you afraid of what might happen next? Face the fear and push yourself to follow through. The pay off will surely be better than the comfort of keeping things "as is".
