Once I had been in class for a while, I found it was really nice to sit down with my fellow classmates, and sometimes our instructor, after our cool-down. We'd get a healthy drink or snack and discuss our weight loss issues and share tips.

One day, the instructor divulged that she had once experienced a weight problem, too. In fact, she had lost the exact amount of weight that I wanted to lose! This provided me with a lot of motivation and really impressed me.

After all, here she was an aerobics instructor ... and I felt like I couldn't even get the hang of step-touch. But with time and practice that changed for her ... and that proved it could change for me, too.

By getting to know other students, I ended up getting a free tour of the gym, meeting a personal trainer, and getting "drafted" into a different class, boxing aerobics, which I ended up loving!
