Choose the Right Fit for Your Feet

We're not talking sneaker fit, here: It's about coordination.

I'm a complete klutz. Case in point: I once dislocated my knee in the process of sitting down in an office chair. I know that involved choreography in an aerobics class just won't suit me (not only could I do myself an injury) but if I can't keep up ... I'll give up.

If you find yourself getting toe-twisted every few minutes and looking around helplessly at your class-mate's shuffling feet trying to figure out where to step next, that class just isn't for you. A few songs later, you'll be ready to find the nearest chair and give up entirely.

Settle for low-impact, simple classes to get started. I know you want results as quickly as you can get them, but starting out with something you can actually keep up with will pay off in the longrun. Eventually you'll be running circles around your instructor. For now ... settle for arm circles and toe taps.
