Crush Dietary Culprits

The dietary bad guys in the Guidelines haven't really changed. Bottom line is to choose beverages and foods that are not high in sugar. The obvious culprits here would be sweets, candies and baked goods, but this also covers soda pop and fruit juice.

There's also a warning to keep an eye on salt, especially in convenience foods. The pre-packaged foods and fast food we all so often rely on signficantly contribute salt to our diets, so choose fresh foods and homemade meals as often as possible.
