Honesty is always the best policy, especially when it comes to keeping an effective food diary. One study showed women tend to stretch the truth in food diaries... So much so that they were actually consuming close to 1,000 calories more than their diaries let on!

Keeping an accurate food diary is possibly the most important step you can take toward developing a lifestyle that leads to long-term success. You can have an honest view of your current habits and it's the key to finding the way of eating you can live with.

So keep that food diary on the up-and-up and it will be a valuable weight-loss tool.
