12 Ways to Save 100 Calories or More at Lunch

Top your potato with salsa instead of butter and sour cream to save hundreds of calories.

Whether it’s a quick dash to the deli or a run to the nearest fast food place these 12 lunchtime swaps will save you a 100 calories or more each!
  1. Swap a tuna salad sandwich for a roast beef sandwich or turkey breast sandwich (hold the mayo!) at the deli.
  2. At Sonic Drive-In, choose a grilled chicken sandwich instead of a chicken club toaster sandwich.
  3. Order thin-crust pizza instead of hand-tossed or deep dish at your favorite pizzeria.
  4. At Quizno's, swap a small turkey lite sandwich for a regular classic Italian sub.
  5. Swap beef-based chili for vegetable soup or switch to vegetarian chili.
  6. Make your own egg salad sandwich, but use one whole egg and one egg white (be sure to use low-fat mayo!) instead of buying one at the deli.
  7. At Atlanta Bread Company, swap a Chopstix chicken salad for a house salad with added grilled chicken.
  8. Order a veggie burger instead of a regular burger or a veggie dog instead of a hot dog.
