Pasta Pointers

Dining at an Italian eatery tonight? If you're watching your fat intake, it's a safe bet to choose pasta over other more fattening items on the menu. Pasta itself is naturally low in fat (as long as it's not filled with meat or cheese!)... it's what we put on it that causes it to be unhealthy: avoid butter, oil, cream sauces, and pesto sauces. Instead go with a marinara sauce, marsala wine or red clam sauce.
