Obesity & Extending Phase 1
It is not mandatory that you stay on Phase 1 for longer than two weeks if you're obese. It is your option. You will still continue to lose weight if you proceed into
Phase 2 after 14 days, just at a slower rate than Phase 1.
People who are considered obese can stay on Phase 1 up to a month; the morbidly obese can stay on Phase 1 for up to two months. Dr. Agatston recommends adding exercise, such as aerobics or walking, if you stay on Phase 1 for an extended period.
