The new year brings along plenty of resolve to start an exercise program. But there are a few pointers that you should keep in mind, no matter how "gung ho" you are to just get moving.

Make sure your new fitness regime fits your time constraints and physical abilities as well as your own personal taste. Remember the old adage of square pegs and round holes? If you don't like the exercise you have chosed to do, bottom line is, you're not going to keep at it.

You may have to try several types of exercise before you find what "fits" you. Choose something you'll look forward to doing everyday. Otherwise you might miss a few days and then give up entirely once you've "fallen off the wagon."
