Salad for Starters
Try serving high-fiber appetizers before your meals to help fill you up a little before the main course to prevent over-eating. A salad is just about the perfect healthy appetizer, with lots of nutrients to boot. Just be wary of high-fat salad dressings; choose reduced- or non-fat varieties. A vegetable tray with non-fat dip or even slices of raw fruit serve as great starters, too. In the winter, why not serve hot vegetable soup before dinner? These healthy appetizers will not only help you to not overeat, but they also provide a nutrition boost.
