	<description>Ah, the scary night has almost arrived.  And I'm not talking ghosts and goblins.  It's the night I'm left with way too much candy on-hand after having way too few trick-or-treaters.  &lt;P&gt;In the meantime .. I've done a little math and figured out which treats will be the smartest swaps among my favorite fare so far:&lt;P&gt;

If I grab two Tootsie Rolls Midgies from my friend's desk at work instead of that snack-size Hershey bar in my purse, I'll save myself 30 calories and still get that chocolate-y thrill.&lt;P&gt;

I must have a chocolate/peanut butter fix.  If I indulge in two peanut butter Kisses instead of a Fun Size Butterfinger, I'll save 36 calories.&lt;P&gt;

If I nab two of my Mom's favorite, Rolos, from her trick-or-treat stash instead of my favorite Fun Size M&amp;#038;Ms, I'll save 45 calories.&lt;P&gt;

Research has found that people who combine both aerobic exercise and weight-training regularly eat less overall than others.  Those who do aerobics only typically eat less fat, but the researchers found no difference in consumption level of other food types.  Those who only lifted weights didn't reduce the amount of food at all.  
&lt;P&gt;
The key, suggests the research, is that the combination of both types of exercise may alter your metabolism to help you feel fuller and thereby eat less of everything.

	<title>An "Annoyance" (or Two!) on "The Biggest Loser"</title>

	<description>Getting caught up on &quot;The Biggest Loser&quot; this weekend ... I was glad to finally hear trainer Bob say that he found it &quot;annoying&quot; when people seemed disappointed at 6- or 7-pound losses.  That has always annoyed me about the show ... big time.  No one in their right mind in any other circumstance would see anything close to a six-pound loss and feel dejected, but it happens time and time again.&lt;P&gt;

Doesn't that sort of scene set up people to have way out in &quot;left field&quot; expectations of their own weight loss?  I am thrilled when I lose two pounds in a  week, so I certainly can't imagine being disappointed at six! But if you didn't know about how weight loss works in the real world, would you think that was a &quot;bad&quot; week thanks to what you'd seen on the show?&lt;P&gt;

Also, frankly, I find it very, very annoying when still-overweight people are worked out so intensely that they pass out ... which also  happened last week.  Anyone else find that slightly ... well, annoying?
