This work out advice is something that from my own experience I have to agree with.
I switched my routine from an hour at the gym, where I moved from machine to machine not keeping my heartrate up, to doing 25-30 minutes of combination strength plus cardio workouts where I did not allow myself time to rest–keeping my heartrate up the whole time.
It made a noticeable difference for me for sure.
Interval training or circuit training isn’t anything new. It should be common knowledge by now that an hour on the treadmill isn’t the best fat burning workout plan around. Interval training is awesome. I do more interval training and circuit training than anything else.
I do a fair bit of training and for me personally i would find it hard to restart after a 20 to 30 minute break but that is probably my psychology. I’ve always been a believer that resistance training is the best way to lose fat and gain lean muscle with out becoming too big, ie the body building type. But what is even more important is the Nutritional side of things.
