Does the sight of a Krispy Kreme leave your will power powerless? Turns out, there's a reason our brain craves donuts. (And here I thought it was just me!) This video from Everwell explains it all.

Your site has a nice way of putting things for people needing tips on weight loss. I love the video on why we eat donuts, it hits me because I eat them only when I see one.
Hi
You have lots good information.
For me it took a while before i got to grips with my own weight.
What nudged me in the right direction, i changed the size of my dinner plate.
The plate i was using was like a flying saucer.I just use to pile the food on it.It look like a pyramid.Yes then i would eat the lot.So iguessed if my plate was smaller less food .As i say this helped me.So try it for yourself.
Id like to say thank you.It took me along time to read all your information as i am Dyslexic. Which i hope doesnt show.
Good luck to everyone.

All this “study” said was that our brain lights up when we see food during a fast, just because its a donut isn’t significant. It could have been an apple with likely the same result.
In fact a fast is an excellent way to cut calories and “reset” your brain in terms of controlling your hunger.
For me, I found a 24hr fast at least once a month allows me to recalibrate my hunger levels and reminds me who is in control of my diet… I am.
as well, there is also no science at all behind the fasting= starvation mode paradigm. There is nothing wrong with skipping a meal.
Congrats on a putting together a great blog though Jenn, if you’d ever like a guest post or something here feel free to get in touch.
