Prevention vs. Pounds-Off

During hectic times of year prepping for a holiday get-together (Hello, July 4th!) ... summer vacation (Bring it on!) ... exams (Phew! Glad those are over!), it's easy for us to put exercise on the back burner.

Sometimes the best you can hope for is maintaining (preventing weight gain) rather than losing.

The best way to do so? Pump some iron. A University of Minnesota study showed women who pumped iron twice a week during a year-long study without any other diet or exercise did not gain any weight.

Not getting weight during hectic times and holidays is good thing.

What I use to watch my weight and if I put more than 2 pounds I start a diet for couple of days or a week – it is very easy to lose the weight you put on last month or week.
