Prevention vs. Pounds-Off

From Jennifer R. Scott, About.com Guide   June 27, 2009

During hectic times of year prepping for a holiday get-together (Hello, July 4th!) ... summer vacation (Bring it on!) ... exams (Phew! Glad those are over!), it's easy for us to put exercise on the back burner.

Sometimes the best you can hope for is maintaining (preventing weight gain) rather than losing.

The best way to do so? Pump some iron. A University of Minnesota study showed women who pumped iron twice a week during a year-long study without any other diet or exercise did not gain any weight.
