"Have Your Say!": What's Making 2009 Weight Loss Tough?

Can you believe it? We're almost halfway into January. How are your 2009 dieting and exercise resolutions going? Are you experiencing any setbacks?
Don't feel bad. It's tough to go from the holiday season "free for all" to single-minded dieting determination!
Personally, my two biggest problems right now are resisting all the leftover holiday goodies from my family (like cookies and candy), and the fact that I haven't been sleeping well.
It's tough to get up the energy to walk my usual hour and fifteen minutes when I've only gotten four hours of sleep (at most!). Then again, I'm sure the candy-sprinkled, red-iced, frisbee-sized sugar cookie I ate about an hour ago didn't help either. (Sugar crash, anyone?)
So what's been your biggest post-holiday dieting downfall?

Hi
I’m starting a weight loss blog for men and woman, the help all of us with our journey into weight loss. I’m online every day and also going through my weight loss journey. The reason for starting this blog is to help and encourage each other; it’s so much nicer when you can share your ups and downs with people. It’s always easier to have additional support.
Please note I’m doing this to help myself.
If you want to make a change in your lifestyle, and would like to join my blog, please send go to http://vanzyl.webs.com/apps/blog/show/276856-weight-loss-group

Time sure does fly! And you’re absolutely right - it’s tough to go from a buffet of sugary and sinful delights to the straight and narrow of a new and improved body for 2009.
What I find works well is to simply hide the extra desserts. Out of sight, out of mind. If those cookies are on the counter, they’re hard to resist. Well it works for me — most of the time anyway. LOL
Oh, I know how this is! I live in South Beach where everyone looks amazing, and life is hectic! One thing that really motivated me was www.modelherbs.com It really gave me that jumpstart to losing weight. I don’t think I could have found the motivation without it!
