'Tis the Season for Strength-Training

During hectic times of year -- like prepping for the holidays -- it's easy for us to put exercise on the back burner. Sometimes the best you can hope for is maintaining (preventing weight gain) rather than losing weight.

One of the best ways to do so? Pump some iron.

A University of Minnesota study showed women who did strength-training twice a week during a year-long study, without any other diet or exercise did not gain any weight.
