Want to know a secret to getting a great workout in less time on a stationary bike? Consider power bursts.A recent study at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, showed that about 30 minutes of sprint cycling (alternating speeds by pedaling quickly for 30 seconds and then slow for 4 minutes) is as effective as a full hour-and-a-half of moderate pedaling.
