What's a Calorie, Anyway?

Well, a calorie isn't a thing at all. It's actually a unit of measurement. You might think of an inch or an ounce when you hear that. But this unit of measurement applies to the energy contained in what we eat and drink, unlike a measurement of something tangible like a frame or a bottle of liquid.
