The Holidays vs. Your Waistline
Forget the sugar plums. Visions of homemade coconut Christmas candy dance in my head! The good news is, with a little determination and planning, we can make it through the holidays and still be friends with our scales come January 2nd!One of my favorite holiday tactics is to bring baskets of fresh fruit as gifts when visiting friends or relatives. Doing so ensures that there's always a healthful snack in the house and everyone is always more than happy to share! I also vowed to donate all less-than-slimming food gifts (Summer sausage somehow always rears its ugly head at my house!), to a local food mission this year.
