Just Rewards?

Saturday October 14, 2006
Oh, dear. I’m getting chocolate on my keyboard. I’m marking a 10 pound milestone with a handful of Hershey’s Kisses. Mmm… success is sweet indeed. Now, I realize it would be slightly more conducive if my idea of a weight loss reward didn't involve a few hundred calories.

Rewarding yourself will help you get through those low points when you've lost a little weight, but you're losing momentum (Maybe your weight loss has slowed down?) or you're feeling a little blue and asking yourself if it's worth it. Treats here and there are a great way to give yourself a pat on the back if there's nobody else around to give you encouragement.

Just don't take a page out of my book tonight and make chocolate your reward of choice. Give some of these non-food rewards a try.
