Diabetes, Not Obesity, Causes Increased Risks

New research suggests diabetes is to blame for the increased risk of death seen in the obese -- not obesity itself. But remember, the obese are far more likely to develop diabetes than those of a normal weight. Managing your weight can still -- even if indirectly -- improve your health and prolong your life, whether you're diabetic or not.
